NEW NAME, NEW SITE!!! Please follow me……

…….HERE

After some thought, I realized that there were some things I wanted to change.  Sure, I’m a newer business, so I have to make sure I get it right.  Diem Photography was great, but I feel more comfortable with a company named after the person who owns and operates it – ME! People always misspelled “Diem” anyway 😉

So I’ve created a new name, new logo, new site, fresh beginning! Thank you to everyone who has been following me so far – I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

And please continue to follow me through this journey.  Update any bookmarks you may (do you? please?? pretty please??) have… follow me to “Leeann Marie Photography”.  This is it! I bought the domain name, so I’m not changing it again!!! 🙂

I Will…: Carla and Paul

Yesterday I spent some time with Carla and Paul at Washington Park.  They have been dating since 7th grade! That’s pretty impressive! I wish them all the best with their upcoming wedding and “Thanks!” for coming out with me for your engagement pictures!

Burgh’s Cecil Park 10K

This morning I was out at Cecil Park to run in the Burgh’s Pizza & Wings 10K.  I am happy to support this run, as the proceeds go to the maintenance of the Montour Trail.  I spend a lot of my time on the trail, and I think it’s great to have such a wonderful trail for running, biking, walking, and playing in my neighborhood. I think it’s important for people to get out and enjoy the outdoors, and the rails to trails project helps to support the effort.

This was my first 10K, and despite the fact that it was, ohhhh, only 85 degrees (!!!!!!!) outside, I still was able to clock in close to my goal time.  The best part of the race – my husband waiting for me at the finish line!! The second best part of the race – the National Tunnel, pictured below, which offered a nice break from the weather. (Third best part was the yummy food afterwards!).  I would encourage others to look into the Burgh’s 5K/10K next year! It was hot, but it was worth it in the end!

Congrats to Megan and Joe!!

I’m just a few days late, but I really wanted to give a BIG congratulations to my good friends Joe and Megan! Joe proposed to Megan just last weekend with a very sweet proposal story consisting of some delicious dinner, the symphony, and a personalized song on the piano. I’m hoping to shoot some engagement pictures for them once they’re back from their cruise and “less pasty” 😉  They’re a great couple and so sweet to eachother. Congrats, Bupsters!  And now…………the ring!

Take your child to work day!

Take your child – I don’t have one! But the ones that came in today were pretty darn cute! I was able to sneak away from my desk for a little and not let my job get in the way of my career.  I kid, I kid.  Actually, I took these for the coordinator and sent them off to her for some post-career day reporting.

Orchid – Straight OOC

dsc_0017OOC = “Out of camera”.  This picture was taken this afternoon with the orchid sitting on my kitchen table. Behind the orchid were lots of things – a TV, window, shelf with cards, and my yellow living room.  I was able to get my settings adjusted enough to blank out the background and then use some flash to bounce in and light the orchid alone. In the process of learning my photography, I’m pretty proud of this small step!

Show a little love…

Matt, Holly, and Lydia came over tonight to visit, which was awesome because we live on opposite sides of the city! After enjoying some homemade Chinese and playing with Lydia, we sat down for a family portrait. Needless to say, by then Lydia was tuckered out and had cried herself to sleep, so instead of a wide-awake family portrait – I was able to capture a moment of the new parents lovingly watching their daughter.

Let’s Go Pens!

Brad and I are admittedly big Pens fans, so as playoffs begin this week, I’d like to give a big “LET’S GO PENS!”

Can’t wait to be here watching…

Matt & Alyssa Engagement

I recently shot an “engagement” session for my friends Matt & Alyssa in Oakdale, PA. We found an old barn used by the Boy Scouts and it worked as a great backdrop!
